Quincy’s Blog
On this blog you will find updates and info about our first dog, Quincy!
The excitement continues! Since Quincy has arrived home he’s met a lot of people!
On Saturday he got to meet his paternal grandparents! This was an absolute blast and I think it kinda convinced Grandma and Grandpa that Harriers are cool dogs! Grandma is an Old English Sheepdog person but her heart melted when she met Quincy!! Grandpa who was sort of “luke warm” about us getting a dog absolutely LOVED Quincy! It was wonderful to see my parents (they live on Vancouver Island, so I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like) and it was great that they could meet Quincy while he is still so little... Oh, and thanks to Dad for these wonderful images that he took while he was here!
On Sunday Quincy got to go to work for the first time! We got there really early so that we could try and settle Quincy down for the day... yeah right!!! Thank god Jacquie was there! She looked after the screaming little fellow for the whole time! Unfortunately I had come down with a terrible stomach bug on the Friday night I had come home with Quincy and it was still reeking havoc on me... It was a tough day in that respect.
On Sunday night Jacquie took Quincy up to meet his Nana and Poppa! Fun, fun, fun! He was a star and while he was there the began to be at ease in his crate! Needless to say, a big step! Jacquie ran him hard and he slept extremely well that night!
On Monday Jacquie and I were home with him all day and it was just fantastic! We got to run, play, hang out and sleep with him! Fantastic!
Today, Tuesday, he had his first trip to meet Dr. Adam, our wonderful vet. Holy he was a HANDFUL!!! I had stupidly forgotten his leash, so it was pandemonium... He got a clean bill of health though and away we went!
Next we went to Jacquie’s work so that he could meet some of the people there. Once again, he stole the show! He is such a fantastic puppy - he seems to be universally loved. But then, we are quite biased, and would say so regardless!
